Grab some peanut butter and put a small amount on a paper towel. Rub it on. Then with a clean paper towel wipe the peanut butter off.

Then take some dish soap that removes grease and put a little bit on a paper towel. Wipe of the left over peanut butter.

Seems a pretty costly and inefficient method to me.

I kind of doubt that would be practical. I have never had trouble getting solar shower bags to heat bathing and cleaning up water nicely enough, even on overcast days. Do you lay them on a rock or other heat sink?

They will not heat as well if left hanging in midair, I have found. If you need to boost the temp a bit, just heat a teakettle full of water on your campstove and add it with the solar shower bag water. You do not really need hot water to wash dishes.

Dish soap and a couple of drops of bleach will remove grease and sanitize them even in cold. Hot water is more psychological than necessary in dishwashing.

For brass use Ketchup let it sit for 5-10 min depending on how bad it is. For the other items (stainless steel/copper pots) I would worcestershire sauce (the acedic in the vinagear eats it away) do the same then wipe clean with warm water. then buff to a shine with a tee shirt (old one that you do not mind throwing away).

If you are trying to clean baked on grease on the bottom of pots, scrub with meat tenderizer first then use your normal soap and water. Coffee pots use ice real lemon juice (just cut one in half and squeeze it into the pot) and about a tablespoon of salt the swish the mix around in circles. Clean like normal.

whats the best way to clean a blackened linoleum floor?

Something that cuts grease and scrub with a scrubbing brush that has bristles, it will get into the little grooves of the linoleum. Lysol works good, I have used it before with luck.

I would also recommend using white vinegar. Of course there will be the vinegar odor, but it does work nicely. You can mix the two together, I would follow the instructions of the Lysol and then add a cup of the vinegar.

Make sure you rinse the floor with clean water, this will help with a shine. Do not use any floor cleaners until you have got this thing cleaned real good, as the floor cleaners will sometimes have a wax and will make it even harder to clean the next time. What a nice grandaughter you are to do this.
